Storage Built for University of Stirling Students

Storage that fits Stirling’s earliest-in-Scotland Student calendar.

UniStore Scotland is a Scottish family business that has been moving and storing students’ belongings for nearly fifty years. We’re not a national app routing you through a London call centre — we’re a local team that knows Stirling’s compact, parkland campus and the rhythm of a Spring semester that ends well before everyone else’s.

Most of you live on campus. The University’s halls are spread along the loch, up by the Wallace Monument and down towards the Macrobert — practically all within ten minutes of class. That means our collections are unusually efficient: one friendly driver, one route around campus, in and out before lunch.

And because we know student budgets are tight — especially heading into summer — we don’t ask you to pay everything up front. You pay 40% to lock in your collection, and the remaining 60% when we’re bringing your stuff safely back into your hands.

We proudly serve students from all major universities and colleges in Stirling, including:

Timing Your University of Stirling Student Storage

We work continuously around the Stirling University Calendar

Key dates for the 2025/26 academic year

Stirling teaching ends Tuesday 14 April 2026 — earlier than any other Scottish university we serve. Spring exams finish Friday 8 May. That means our peak collection window is early to mid May, weeks before Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee or St Andrews. Booking your collection slot in early May means you get peace of mind knowing your student storage is sorted — then you can relax and focus on your exams and look forward to a stress free summer.

Spring exams begin

Mon 20 April 2026

Spring exams end (UG)

Fri 8 May 2026

Peak collection window

Early May → Late May

Autumn 26/27 starts (UG)

Mon 14 September 2026

Dates above are based on the University of Stirling’s published 2025/26 and 2026/27 semester dates. Postgraduate dates differ slightly (PG teaching ends 7 April, exams 14–23 April). Check your specific programme handbook before booking.

Stirling students are pretty unique

A self-contained campus, an early calendar, and a lot of sports kit.

One campus, one collection route

Most Scottish universities have students scattered across a city — Stirling concentrates them on a single 330-acre parkland campus by Airthrey Loch. That makes our job efficient: one friendly driver, one route, all your friends’ boxes collected the same morning.

Coordinate with your flatmates and we can pick everyone up in a single visit, which keeps things simple at reception and frees you up to actually enjoy the rest of the day after handing back your keys.

International students & Beech Court

Beech Court is the home of Stirling’s International Study Centre — and a lot of our regular customers. Shipping a year’s belongings home to most countries costs more than a year of storage with us, and that’s before airline excess baggage of £75 per kilo.

Pack before exams finish, we collect on your chosen day, and we’ll redeliver everything to your new accommodation when you fly back in September. No customs forms, no shipping companies.

Stirling is a sporty campus

Stirling is Scotland’s University for Sporting Excellence, with the National Tennis Centre, National Swimming Academy and golf course all on campus. That means a lot of our Stirling collections include kit bags, rackets, hockey sticks, golf clubs and the occasional surfboard.

All of it stores fine alongside your boxes. Use the calculator to add bikes and oversized items to your quote — there’s no limit on what we’ll handle.

Heading off after summer for placement?

Lots of Stirling students do summer or autumn placements — Education, Nursing, Sports Coaching, Marketing — and may need shorter-term storage between contracts.

No minimum stay. Charge per box per week. Refunds for any unused weeks. We’ll redeliver to wherever you end up next, in or out of Stirling.

Stirling University Student Storage Questions

The most cost-effective way to store your belongings is usually through a “pay-per-box” storage service rather than renting a full self-storage unit. At UniStore Scotland, we offer budget-friendly packages specifically designed for students, ensuring you only pay for the space you actually use.

Do you collect from Andrew Stewart Hall and Muirhead House?
Do you collect from Andrew Stewart Hall and Muirhead House?
Yes. We collect from every University-managed residence on campus including Andrew Stewart Hall, Muirhead House, Polwarth House, Geddes Court, Pendreich Way, Spittal Hill, Friarscroft, Beech Court, Juniper Court, Willow Court, Alexander Court, John Forty’s Court, Fraser of Allander House, Lyon Crescent and H H Donnelly House. Collection is from the building reception. Just tell us which hall and flat number when you book.
Which University of Stirling halls do you collect from?
We collect from every Stirling residence both on and off campus. On campus: Andrew Stewart Hall, Muirhead House, Polwarth House, Geddes Court, Pendreich Way, Spittal Hill, Friarscroft, Beech Court, Juniper Court, Willow Court, Alexander Court (standard, family and townhouses), John Forty’s Court, Fraser of Allander House, Lyon Crescent and H H Donnelly House. Off campus: Alangrange, Kingarth, Thistle Chambers and Union Street Development. We also collect from private student blocks (Centro House, Carters Yard, Riverside Quay) and private flats throughout Stirling and Bridge of Allan.
When does Spring semester end at the University of Stirling?
For 2025/26, Spring semester teaching ends Tuesday 14 April 2026 (undergraduate) or Tuesday 7 April 2026 (postgraduate). Undergraduate exams run Monday 20 April to Friday 8 May 2026, with postgraduate exams running 14–23 April. Stirling has the earliest end-of-term of any Scottish university we serve, so collection slots in early to mid-May fill up quickly. Autumn semester 26/27 starts Monday 14 September 2026 (UG) or Monday 21 September 2026 (PG).
How much does Stirling student storage cost?

Storage starts from £1.50 per box per week. You only pay for the exact boxes and weeks you use, with unused weeks refunded. Free double-walled boxes, free packing tape, a free marker pen, free printed labels and free door-to-door collection and redelivery throughout Stirling and Bridge of Allan are all included. There are no hidden fees and no minimum contract length.

I'm a Stirling international student flying home for the summer — does that work?
Absolutely. International students are well represented at Stirling, particularly in residences like Beech Court that house the International Study Centre cohort. Pack your boxes before exams finish, we collect on the day of your choice, and we hold everything safely in our heated and alarmed Edinburgh warehouse until you fly back in September. No need to ship things home or pay airline excess baggage fees of £75 per kilo. We’ll redeliver to your new accommodation when Autumn semester starts.
How does the 40/60 payment split work?
You pay 40% at the time of booking to secure your collection slot, warehouse space and free packing materials. The remaining 60% is collected on the day before we redeliver your belongings — so you only finish paying when you have your things back. We’re the only Scottish student storage company that does it this way, because we think it’s the fairest approach.
Can you collect from off-campus halls or a flat in Bridge of Allan?
Yes. We cover the off-campus University residences (Alangrange, Kingarth, Thistle Chambers, Union Street Development) and private flats throughout Stirling, Bridge of Allan, Causewayhead, Riverside, Cornton and the city centre. Collection from private flats is from the ground floor or main building entrance.
Can I store bikes, suitcases, sports gear or large items?
Yes. Alongside boxes, we accept suitcases, bicycles, musical instruments, sports equipment and reasonable-sized furniture items. Stirling’s campus is famously sporty (national tennis and swimming centres are on site) so we get plenty of sports gear — racquets, kit bags, hockey sticks, golf clubs, the lot. Use our online calculator to get a quote for any combination of items.
Can my flatmates and I be collected together?
Yes — and we’d love it if you did. A single van trip for the whole flat means we’re in and out of reception in one go, which keeps things simple for you and for the residence team. Just coordinate your booking dates and we’ll handle it.
Is my stuff safe in storage?

Your belongings are stored inside our centrally located, fully alarmed Edinburgh warehouse — heated and insulated, with 24/7 CCTV. We don’t use outdoor metal containers exposed to the wet Scottish elements. Everything is logged against your order number when it arrives, so nothing gets misplaced.

When should I book to guarantee a slot?
Stirling’s exam window is the earliest of any university we serve — peak collection runs from early May through to mid-May. Book as soon as possible for peace of mind, and space to focus on your exams. The 40% deposit is fully transferable if your dates change, so there’s no penalty for booking early — and getting your free boxes early gives you more time to pack.
What if my plans change?
That’s exactly why we built our service the way we did. You can change your collection or redelivery date free of charge, and any unused full weeks of storage are refunded. We’re flexible because student plans change — that’s just life.
