Yes. We collect from the reception or main entrance area of every house at Pollock Halls — Chancellors Court, Baird, Ewing, Grant, Holland, Masson, Lee, Turner, John Burnett and Salisbury Court. Pollock Halls postcode is EH16 5AY. Just tell us which house you’re in when you book.

Which University of Edinburgh halls do you collect from?

We collect from every University-managed residence including Pollock Halls, Buccleuch Place, College Wynd, Darroch Court, Deaconess, Beaverbank, Salisbury Court and all other UoE accommodation. We also collect from all major private student blocks (Unite Students, iQ, Vita, Yugo, Sanctuary, Prestige, Hello Student) and from private rentals across Marchmont, Newington, Bruntsfield, Tollcross and the rest of central Edinburgh.

When does Semester 2 end at the University of Edinburgh?

For 2025/26, Semester 2 runs to 22 May 2026, with the Summer Teaching Vacation starting 25 May 2026. Most students need to clear their accommodation in the days following their final exam. Some programmes — including Medicine — follow slightly different dates, so check your specific course handbook. Our recommendation: book your collection slot as early as possible in April to guarantee your preferred date.

How much does Edinburgh student storage cost?

Storage starts from £1.50 per box per week. You only pay for the exact boxes and weeks you use, with unused weeks refunded. Free double-walled boxes, free packing tape, a free marker pen, free printed labels and free door-to-door collection and redelivery in Edinburgh are all included. There are no hidden fees and no minimum contract length.

How does the 40/60 payment split work?

You pay 40% at the time of booking to secure your collection slot, warehouse space and free packing materials. The remaining 60% is collected on the day before we redeliver your belongings — so you only finish paying when you have your things back. We’re the only Scottish student storage company that does it this way, because we think it’s the fairest approach.

Can you collect from my flat in Marchmont or Newington?

Absolutely. We cover all the main UoE student areas including Marchmont, Newington, Bruntsfield, Tollcross, The Meadows, Dalry, Haymarket, Fountainbridge, Holyrood, Leith and the Old Town — plus everywhere in between. Collection from private flats is from the ground floor or main building entrance, so no need to wrestle boxes down a tenement stair.

Can I store bikes, suitcases or large items?

Yes. Alongside boxes, we accept suitcases, bicycles, musical instruments, sports equipment and reasonable-sized furniture items. Use our online calculator to get a quote for any combination of items — or contact us if you have something unusual and we’ll let you know.

Is my stuff safe in storage?

Your belongings are stored inside our centrally located, fully alarmed warehouse — heated and insulated, with 24/7 CCTV. We don’t use outdoor metal containers exposed to Scottish winters. Everything is logged against your order number when it arrives, so nothing gets misplaced.

I'm going home for the summer — when should I book?

Book as soon as you know your move-out date. Late April to early June is our busiest period and the best collection slots fill up quickly. Booking early also gives you time to receive and pack your free boxes well before exams finish. The 40% deposit is fully transferable if your dates change.

What if my plans change?

That’s exactly why we built our service the way we did. You can change your collection or redelivery date free of charge, and any unused full weeks of storage are refunded. We’re flexible because student plans change — that’s just life.
